SYTYCD Nabs 8 Emmy Nods

Congrats to So You Think You Can Dance on their eight Emmy nominations!

Aside for Best Reality Competition, host Cat Deeley was also nominated for Best Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Series. She is up against American Idol's Ryan Seacrest, Dancing With the Star's Tom Bergeron, The Amazing Race's Phil Keoghan and Survivor's Jeff Probst.

In the Best Reality Competition category, SYTYCD will go up against American Idol, Top Chef, Amazing Race, Dancing With The Stars and Project Runway.

The Best Choreography nominations were dominated by SYTYCD choreographers. Travis Wall, Napoleon and Tabitha D'umom, Mia Michaels, Mandy Moore and Stacey Tookey were all recognized. Dancing With The Stars choreographer Mark Ballas nabbed the sixth nomination in the category.

Michaels is up for her Alice in Mia-Land "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" (group dance), "When We Dance" (group dance) and "This Bitter Earth -- On the Nature of Daylight" (danced by Billy Bell, Ade Obayami and Alex Wong). Michaels already won an Emmy for the infamous "Bench" routine danced by Travis and Heidi in Season 2.

Tookey is up for "Mad World" (danced by Billy Bell and Ade Obayomi), "Sundrenched World" (danced by Kent Boyd and Allison Holker) and "Heaven Is a Place on Earth" (danced by Kathryn McCormick and Robert Roldan).

Season 2 runner-up Travis Wall is nominated for "Collide" (danced by Lauren Froderman and Kent Boyd), "How It Ends" (danced by Kent Boyd and Neil Haskell) and "Fix You" (danced by Allison Holker and Robert Roldan).

Hip-hop choreographers Nap and Tabs are nominated for "Scars" (danced by Robert Roldan and Dominic Sandoval), "Fallin" (danced by Comfort Fedoke and AdeChike Torbert) and "Outta Your Mind" (danced by Alex Wong and Twitch Boss).

Mandy Moore is up for "Oh Yeah" (danced by Lauren Froderman and Ade Obayomi), "Boogie Shoes" (danced by Billy Bell and Lauren Froderman) and "I Surrender" (danced by Charlie Bruce and Neil Haskell).

SYTYCD was also nominated for an Emmy in Lighting Design/Lighting Direction.
