So You Think You Can Dance kicks off on May 26, but even before the season starts there are some dancers we are keeping an eye on.
Of course, the biggest question of the season is will Alex Wong return? Classically trained, Wong made the top 8 in Season 7, most notably wowing America with his hip-hop routine with Twitch. But an injury following that performance, forced Wong to withdraw from the competition.
Wong previously was disqualified from the competition in Season 6 due to a contract with the Miami City Ballet.
Nigel Lythgoe promised Wong a spot in this year's competition, but it is unknown if Wong took him up on the offer.
Ryan Ramirez, a protege of Mia Michaels, was cut during Season 7's Green Mile and according to OMG Dance, may have finally made it into the top 20 this year.
It's always fun when siblings of former contestants audition. This year it looks like Alexis Mason, little sis of Season 5 winner, Jeanine Mason, will look to follow in her big sister's footsteps.
Cheryl Smith has auditioned several times for SYTYCD, making it to the top 24 in Season 7. Smith was Sonya Tayeh's assistant. Contemporary dancers, Bridget Krouse, Missy Morelli and Adrian Lee and Anthony Burrell also made it to the Green Mile in Season 7, but were cut.
It is rumored that American Juniors finalist, Morgan Burke, has auditioned for Season 7. All grown up, can Burke dance as well as he sang as a lad?
Other possible contestants according to OMG Dance include Nick Young, tap assistant to Danny Wallace, as well as Corey Cox, dancer from Denise Wall's Dance Energy, which also brought us Travis and Danny Wall and Jamie Goodwin.
