'Greys' Creator Tries Her Hand At PR

Shonda Rhimes is keeping awfully busy these days. Aside from her successful series - Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, and the upcoming Off The Map - she will now take on a new endeavor that removes her from the world of medicine and places her in the field of public relations. In Crisis is inspired by the life of well-known PR professional, Judy Smith - President and CEO of Impact Strategies - who has dealt with some very high profile clients. The show will focus around PR crisis management, but promises to be filled with the drama Rhimes has come to be known for.

Rhimes will write the pilot and serve as executive producer on the show, which will be up for a spot on ABC's 2011-2012 lineup.

I can't help noticing this is the second series focused around PR to recently come out. First Kardashian's reality show The Spin Crowd, and now this. Am I sensing a new trend here?
