Was Your Favorite Show Canceled?

As the 2009-10 TV season draws to a close, it’s time to see what shows will return next fall and which will fade into oblivion. Here’s a list of the series that have already been cut, which will stick around and those whose fate has not yet been decided. (Updated on May 14.)

Law & Order: After 20 years, Law & Order has been canceled. The last episode will air on May 24. At least NBC has picked up Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Law & Order: Los Angeles.

FlashForward - It shouldn't come as a surprise that ABC's FlashForward was canceled, as ratings have been dwindling. The show was pegged to be the next Lost, but I guess we will have to look elsewhere for our fix.

Happy Town - It looks like Happy Town isn't so happy. ABC's newest drama, which premiered at the end of April, will be pulled from the network after this week's episode.  The show will return on June 2 with the remaining five episodes.

Ugly Betty – The last episode of Ugly Betty aired last month, but there are rumors floating that a movie reunion could be on the horizon.

Scrubs – After nine seasons, it looks like the medical comedy made its last round, according to Zach Braff. Still, fans are holding on to hope that ABC will bring back the show if it has nothing else to fill the time slot, which is highly doubtful. Scrubs was saved from cancellation by ABC after NBC said it was dropping the show last year.

Lost – The fate of the Island and castaways will be revealed on May 23, and hopefully all of our Lost questions will be answered.

24 – Jack Bauer will save the world for the last time on May 24.

‘Til Death – Brad Garrett’s (Everybody Loves Raymond) family comedy was pulled after four seasons.

The Tyra Banks Show – all I have to say is it’s about time. The last episode of the talk show that I watched Tyra was interviewing people who believed they were vampires. Need I say more?

The Tudors

Saving Grace

Lincoln Heights

The Hills – The Hills began its final season last week, after six years of drama, making household names out of Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt and Lauren Conrad.

10 Things I Hate About You – While ABC Family hasn’t made a formal announcement, it looks like 10 Things I Hate About You, which is based on the 1999 movie of the same name, will air its final episode on May 31.

Still Pending Renewal

Private Practice

Grey’s Anatomy - It’s highly likely Grey’s Anatomy will be renewed for a seventh season.

Desperate Housewives – The women of Wisteria Lane will most likely return for a 7th season, but how much longer it will last after that is uncertain. While creator Marc Cherry has mentioned wanting the show to run for nine seasons, the core cast is only contracted for one more season. After hitting new ratings lows in April, Desperate Housewives’ future is uncertain.

New Adventures of Old Christine

CSI: Miami

Melrose Place – After just one season it looks like Melrose Place could get the ax. The last episode of the season aired in early April.

Life Unexpected - While it seems The CW has been happy with the success of Life Unexpected, its renewal is not definite just yet.

One Tree Hill – How many times will we fear the end has come to OTH. It seems this year a contract dispute is holding back The CW from renewing the teen drama for its eighth season.
